This is three draw telescope manufactured by Francis Watkins at Charing Cross, London c. 1755. Jeremiah and Walter Watkins, who operated at 5 Charing Cross between 1784 and 1798, were very accomplished instrument manufacturers and worked for the Duke & Duchess of York and the Duke of Clarence. They're business derived from Jeremiah's father, Francis Watkins, who previously ran the instrument business at the same location between 1747 and 1784, during which time this telescope was manufactured.
